Vintage Christmas themed ATC's
Three vintage ATC's I crafted over the weekend for a 3/3 trade due 12/10. Stickers/papers are from Echo Park's This&That. Stamps are from Stampin Up's Christmas Fun. Vintage images are from a vintage book titled: "Hello Gorgeous" makeup ads from the 40's and 50's. There is Glitter Dust from Darice on the pink card. Finally getting to crafting, scanning, and gaining the courage to share my paper crafts. Thank you.

Learning to basket weave with Cedar Bark with a master weaver and creating Mixed Media Canvas
My older sister and I spent two days 4 hours total, learning to weave baskets with cedar back by a Jamestown S'Klallam tribal member Cathy McGregor. My first basket was a bit lopsided I'm afraid as the whole process was WAY more difficult than I had previously thought! The first night that I went to weaving class I had just come from a different class at Doodlebugs in Sequim, WA where I took an art class on how to do mixed media with Faber-Castells Gelatos. I will include a picture of my completed mixed media project. Needless to say I have also been doing Artist trading cards with Mary who is a teacher of K-5th graders. I have traded 20 ATC's to date. I didn't scan or take any pictures of those prior to sending them. My bad. In the future I will include pictures. Not that I have any followers or anybody who subscribes or reads my posts. Mostly it is just a diary at this point. I am learning to do all of these crafting mediums as I have two rooms in my house which are FULL to the ceiling of craft supplies and I need to start using them up vs. buying more. X-ACTO Decorative Edge Scissors: This 4-pack of scissors includes scissors that can make the scallop cut, lightning bolt cut, squiggle cut, and colonial cut. The blades are made from stainless steel and the handles contain 20% post-industrial recycled plastic. They are comfortable to use and hold and can be used by kids as well as adults.
X-ACTO Designer Series Circle Cutter: This little tool can cut any sized circle, up to 5 7/8” in diameter. You can use it with cardstock, paper, and photos…so it’s a great tool for scrapbookers and card makers! To change the size of your circle, simply loosen the knob on the front of the tool and slide the circle cutter to the desired diameter, using the ruler on the tool as a guide. Tighten the knob and place the needle at the center of where you want your circle to be. Rotate the tool and the blade will cut out your circle! Easy as that!
